Since 2003 Tanka has gained a reputation for being able to perform at a very high-level while being a small team. Tanka is helmed by Creative Director Kevin Cavallaro and Software Developer and 3D Animator Jeff Falcon. Working closely together and bringing in other talent as needed Tanka can deliver your project from conceptualization through delivery and beyond. It’s this balanced relationship between design and development, plus our obsessive attention to detail that enables us to craft a solid user experience for each and every project we touch. And we actually like doing what we love, so that’s a bonus.
Origin story
We’re often asked about the origin of our company’s name. Tanka, is a form of Japanese poetry from the 8th century and we have adopted it as our company name. The name is actually quite apropos, since traditional Tanka poetry often combined deep meaning, completeness of an idea, coupled with an aesthetic component, such as the paper it was written on or the manner in which it was presented.
